WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to join us today! Here at NHCC, we have a passion for making lifelong followers of Jesus.  You can expect a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites you to explore and discover at your own pace. During the worship service, children’s programming is available for children from infants through students in 5th grade. Here are some components you may experience in your time here today:

Songs of Worship: This is a time where we proclaim together all that God is and all He has done. We invite you to sing along to the words on the screen as they are sung.

Communion: Followers of Jesus are invited to take the provided individual self-serve packets of bread and juice as a ceremonial reminder of God’s great sacrifice of His son, Jesus, on the cross for our sin. If you are unsure, feel free to simply use this time for quiet reflection.  Please discard used cups in the trash as you leave.

Offering: This is our opportunity to give back to God financially from what He has given to us. Please place your gifts and Connect Cards in one of the offering boxes outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give via our mobile app, Tithe.ly.

Invitation: This is an opportunity to respond to God’s prompting by talking with a pastor or leader at the indicated time... to commit your life to Christ through baptism (the water is always warm!), to place membership with the church, for prayer… one way or another, if God is stirring in your heart this morning, don’t leave without responding in some way.

Message this morning: Guest Speaker - Bo Peng

NEW MESSAGE SERIES beginning 1/11 - "WARFARE WEAR" - Following Jesus doesn't mean we suddenly become immune to the struggles and temptations of this world—if anything, the opposite is true! However, we have been given tremendous provision to navigate those battles, and Paul writes about it in his letter to the Ephesian Church. Join us as we explore the rich symbolism of the Armor of God… and understand the true enemy we’re up against.

STUDENT PJS & PANCAKES: Students, join us as we kick off the new year with pjs & pancakes for all students, TODAY, Sunday, Jan. 4th. Middle school will meet during their normal Sunday morning time and high schoolers will meet 6:30-8pm. Questions? Contact Brandon.

FAMILY GAME NIGHT: Bring your favorite game, or two, and join us in the fellowship hall from 6-9pm on January 16th for another game night! Open to ages elementary through adult. Bring a snack to share.  Contact Amanda with questions.

LIFE GROUPS: We value genuine community here at NHCC. Life groups are small groups, most of which meet together weekly & in homes, to connect, grow, and serve together. Groups will kick off again later in January. Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, there is a place for you! Not in a group? We'd love for you to be! Mark your Connect Card or contact the office with questions.

BEFRIEND INITIATIVE : HONDURAS! We have a committed partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission and their work in Honduras. We rolled out all the details in a video that is pinned on our YouTube page, and we encourage everyone who calls NHCC their church to consider joining this effort. We will again be putting a team together to travel to Choloma this summer, the week of July 19-26, 2026. Mark your Connect Card if interested or visit the Missions page of our website for more info!

WOMEN’S STUDY: Join us Wednesdays at 9:30 am, in the church lobby, beginning January 7th. Contact Karen Landis for more info.

MEN'S STUDY: A men's Monday evening study group meets at the home of Paul Jones in Wexford at 7pm. Sign up on your Connect Card or contact Paul Jones with questions.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION: Each week we provide FREE groceries to families in need. This is a vital way that we serve our North Hills Community, and demand is higher than ever. Our world is hungry in more ways than one. A list of needed items can be found on the Resource Table. Consider donating items to help us keep meeting this need. Questions: Katie Knox.

INFERTILITY SUPPORT GROUP: If you have been impacted by the pain and isolation of infertility and pregnancy-related loss & heartbreak, join in community & conversation with others who know how it feels. Dates & times are coordinated with those interested. Contact Debbie Harrington or indicate on your Connect Card.

OFFERING ENVELOPES: For those who are accustomed to using numbered offering envelopes, they are available on the Resource Table in the lobby through the end of January. Each box is labeled with a name, if your name isn't there and you'd like to have a box of offering envelopes, please contact the office

DAYS FOR GIRLS: NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, an organization which seeks to break down stigmas and limitations by providing sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions & education to under-privileged girls and women worldwide.  We meet Mondays 10am-12:30pm. See the Days for Girls table in the lobby for more info or contact Lisa Porter with questions on how to get involved. Days for Girls is on a break for the holidays and will meet agin in January.
