WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to join us today! Here at NHCC, we have a passion for making lifelong followers of Jesus. You can expect a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites you to explore and discover at your own pace. During the worship service, children’s programming is available for children from infants through students in 5th grade. Here are some components you may experience in your time here today:
Songs of Worship: This is a time where we proclaim together all that God is and all He has done. We invite you to sing along to the words on the screen as they are sung.
Communion: Followers of Jesus are invited to take the provided individual self-serve packets of bread and juice as a ceremonial reminder of God’s great sacrifice of His son, Jesus, on the cross for our sin. If you are unsure, feel free to simply use this time for quiet reflection. Please discard used cups in the trash as you leave.
Offering: This is our opportunity to give back to God financially from what He has given to us. Please place your gifts and Connect Cards in one of the offering boxes outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give via our mobile app, Tithe.ly.
Invitation: This is an opportunity to respond to God’s prompting by talking with a pastor or leader at the indicated time... to commit your life to Christ through baptism (the water is always warm!), to place membership with the church, for prayer… one way or another, if God is stirring in your heart this morning, don’t leave without responding in some way.
Message this morning: Rafael Rodriguez - Guest Speaker
CURRENT MESSAGE SERIES: “Free Indeed ” - When Paul traveled through regions preaching and teaching and starting churches, the message was always the same: Jesus has done for you what you have never been able to do for yourself. Through Jesus you can be set free, you don't have to carry the heavy weight of spiritual expectations anymore. Yet people through history, much like us, were still tempted to try. Join us as we study through Paul’s letter to the Galatians to talk about this very real human tendency when it comes to faith.
STUDENT'S RETREAT - DEC 5-7: Students in 6th - 12th grades join us for the NHCC Student's Retreat, Dec. 5-7th at Laurelville Retreat Center in Mt. Pleasant, PA as we grow in our relationship with God and each other. Contact Brandon with questions. Deadline to register is NEXT Sunday, Nov. 16th. Register HERE today!
STUDENTS PROGRESSIVE DINNER: Students will celebrate Christmas with their annual Progressive Dinner on December 14th and we're looking for hosts! Interested in hosting appetizers, entree, or dessert? Let Brandon know.
STUDENT NIGHTS: 9th-12th graders, come hang out Sunday nights from 6:30-8pm as we hear a message and meet in small groups to build community and talk about Jesus. 6th-8th meets Sunday mornings during our worship service. Questions? Contact Brandon.
FAMILY GAME NIGHT: Bring your favorite game or two (Dutch Blitz anyone?) and join us in the fellowship hall from 6-9pm on Friday, November 14th for game night! Open to ages elementary through adult. Light snacks will be available. Contact Amanda with questions.
ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING: Join us after service Sunday, Nov. 23rd for a light lunch, followed by our annual gathering for NHCC members to vote and affirm our 2026 budget and leadership. Childcare is available in the kids' wing after lunch. Interested in more info about being a member? Reach out to Ethan or one of the elders.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION: Each week we provide free groceries to families in need. This is a vital way that we serve our North Hills Community, and demand is higher than ever. Join us on Sunday, November 30th as we hear from our Food Distribution team for some updates on how this program has evolved and what that means for all of us here at NHCC.
CHRISTMAS LOUNGE: Join us this holiday season as we enjoy music and sweet treats in the lobby before services in December. Interested in providing music or making treats? Contact Debbie Harrington.
LIFE GROUPS: We value genuine community here at NHCC. Life groups are small groups, most of which meet together weekly & in homes, to connect, grow, and serve together. Groups have now started for the fall season. Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, there is a place for you! Not in a group? We'd love for you to be! Mark your Connect Card or contact the office with questions.
WOMEN’S STUDY: Join us Wednesdays at 9:30am, in the church lobby, as we walk through the life of David. This study will be loosely based on Beth Moore's study, David: Seeking A Heart Like His. "Some days you'll want to be just like him; other days you won't want to be anything like him. Let's discover the truth that God will never give up on you." Contact Karen Landis for more info.
BEFRIEND INITIATIVE : HONDURAS! We have a committed partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission and their work in Honduras. We rolled out all the details in a video that is pinned on our YouTube page, and we encourage everyone who calls NHCC their church to consider joining this effort. We will again be putting a team together to travel to Choloma this summer, the week of July 19-26, 2026. Mark your Connect Card if interested or visit the Missions page of our website for more info!
INFERTILITY SUPPORT GROUP: If you have been impacted by the pain and isolation of infertility and pregnancy-related loss & heartbreak, join in community & conversation with others who know how it feels. Dates & times are coordinated with those interested. Contact Debbie Harrington or indicate on your Connect Card.
DAYS FOR GIRLS: NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, an organization which seeks to break down stigmas and limitations by providing sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions & education to under-privileged girls and women worldwide. We meet Mondays 10am-12:30pm. See the Days for Girls table in the lobby for more info or contact Lisa Porter with questions on how to get involved.
