WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to join us today! Here at NHCC, we have a passion for making lifelong followers of Jesus. You can expect a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites you to explore and discover at your own pace. During the worship service, children’s programming is available for children from infants through students in 5th grade. Here are some components you may experience in your time here today:
Songs of Worship: This is a time where we proclaim together all that God is and all He has done. We invite you to sing along to the words on the screen as they are sung.
Communion: Followers of Jesus are invited to take the provided individual self-serve packets of bread and juice as a ceremonial reminder of God’s great sacrifice of His son, Jesus, on the cross for our sin. If you are unsure, feel free to simply use this time for quiet reflection. Please discard used cups in the trash as you leave.
Offering: This is our opportunity to give back to God financially from what He has given to us. Please place your gifts and Connect Cards in one of the offering boxes outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give via our mobile app, Tithe.ly.
Invitation: This is an opportunity to respond to God’s prompting by talking with a pastor or leader at the indicated time... to commit your life to Christ through baptism (the water is always warm!), to place membership with the church, for prayer… one way or another, if God is stirring in your heart this morning, don’t leave without responding in some way.
Message this morning: Sore Spots - wk 4
CURRENT MESSAGE SERIES: “Sore Spots” - If you’ve been a follower of Jesus for awhile, you’re probably familiar with them—those disciplines, those scriptural practices that we know are important, we know are part of the life and the faith community we were created for—except… well, we don’t really like them. In fact, we tend to avoid them, because they’re a little uncomfortable, even painful. Join us as we circle up over the next month and talk through things like accountability, confession, generosity and other things we sometimes wish we didn’t have to talk about… but when we do, we discover the grace and goodness of God in ways we never imagined.
