WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to join us today! Here at NHCC, we have a passion for making lifelong followers of Jesus. You can expect a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites you to explore and discover at your own pace. During the worship service, children’s programming is available for children from infants through students in 5th grade. Here are some components you may experience in your time here today:
Songs of Worship: This is a time where we proclaim together all that God is and all He has done. We invite you to sing along to the words on the screen as they are sung.
Communion: Followers of Jesus are invited to take the provided individual self-serve packets of bread and juice as a ceremonial reminder of God’s great sacrifice of His son, Jesus, on the cross for our sin. If you are unsure, feel free to simply use this time for quiet reflection. Please discard used cups in the trash as you leave.
Offering: This is our opportunity to give back to God financially from what He has given to us. Please place your gifts and Connect Cards in one of the offering boxes outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give via our mobile app, Tithe.ly.
Invitation: This is an opportunity to respond to God’s prompting by talking with a pastor or leader at the indicated time... to commit your life to Christ through baptism (the water is always warm!), to place membership with the church, for prayer… one way or another, if God is stirring in your heart this morning, don’t leave without responding in some way.
Message this morning: ALL HAIL THE KING - wk 1
NEW MESSAGE SERIES beginning Dec. 7th: "All Hail the King" - So often, when we think about Christmas, our minds turn to the baby in the manger… and if we’re not careful, we forget that baby came to be a King - one who could know our pain and scars, one whose grace would be greater than our sin, one who came to bring immeasurable joy and hope, one whose kingdom was not of this world - his name is Jesus, and He is the King of Kings. Join us this December as we explore this humble King and find our place in His Kingdom!
STUDENTS’ PROGRESSIVE DINNER: Students will celebrate Christmas with their annual Progressive Dinner on December 14th and we're looking for hosts! Interested in hosting appetizers, entree, or dessert? Let Brandon know.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION: Each week we provide FREE groceries to families in need. This is a vital way that we serve our North Hills Community, and demand is higher than ever. Our world is hungry in more ways than one. A list of needed items can be found on the Resource Table. Consider donating items to help us keep meeting this need. Questions: Katie Knox at katie@northhillschristian.church.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES: Join us Wednesday, 12/24 for a reflective and celebratory service as we welcome the birth of our Messiah. We will have two identical services at 5pm & 6:30pm. Childcare will be available up though 2nd grade during both services; all others can worship with their families.
FAMILY COMMUNION BRUNCH: Sunday, December 28th, we will use our 10am service time to do what the book of Acts says the disciples did in the early church: “they broke bread ... and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” For those in town, join us downstairs for this special all-family brunch and communion gathering. Friends and neighbors are welcome! Everyone attending should bring a brunch-style dish to share. No RVSP’s needed.
LIFE GROUPS: We value genuine community here at NHCC. Life groups are small groups, most of which meet together weekly & in homes, to connect, grow, and serve together. Groups have now started for the fall season. Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, there is a place for you! Not in a group? We'd love for you to be! Mark your Connect Card or contact the office with questions.
WOMEN’S STUDY: Join us Wednesdays at 9:30am, in the church lobby, as we walk through the life of David. This study will be loosely based on Beth Moore's study, David: Seeking A Heart Like His. "Some days you'll want to be just like him; other days you won't want to be anything like him. Let's discover the truth that God will never give up on you." Contact Karen Landis for more info.
MEN'S STUDY: A men's Monday evening study group meets at the home of Paul Jones in Wexford at 7pm. Sign up on your Connect Card or contact Paul Jones with questions.
BEFRIEND INITIATIVE : HONDURAS! We have a committed partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission and their work in Honduras. We rolled out all the details in a video that is pinned on our YouTube page, and we encourage everyone who calls NHCC their church to consider joining this effort. We will again be putting a team together to travel to Choloma this summer, the week of July 19-26, 2026. Mark your Connect Card if interested or visit the Missions page of our website for more info!
INFERTILITY SUPPORT GROUP: If you have been impacted by the pain and isolation of infertility and pregnancy-related loss & heartbreak, join in community & conversation with others who know how it feels. Dates & times are coordinated with those interested. Contact Debbie Harrington or indicate on your Connect Card.
DAYS FOR GIRLS: NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, an organization which seeks to break down stigmas and limitations by providing sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions & education to under-privileged girls and women worldwide. We meet Mondays 10am-12:30pm. See the Days for Girls table in the lobby for more info or contact Lisa Porter with questions on how to get involved.
