WELCOME! We’re glad you chose to join us today! Here at NHCC, we have a passion for making lifelong followers of Jesus. You can expect a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites you to explore and discover at your own pace. During the worship service, children’s programming is available for children from infants through students in 5th grade. Here are some components you may experience in your time here today:
Songs of Worship: This is a time where we proclaim together all that God is and all He has done. We invite you to sing along to the words on the screen as they are sung.
Communion: Followers of Jesus are invited to take the provided individual self-serve packets of bread and juice as a ceremonial reminder of God’s great sacrifice of His son, Jesus, on the cross for our sin. If you are unsure, feel free to simply use this time for quiet reflection. Please discard used cups in the trash as you leave.
Offering: This is our opportunity to give back to God financially from what He has given to us. Please place your gifts and Connect Cards in one of the offering boxes outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give via our mobile app, Tithe.ly.
Invitation: This is an opportunity to respond to God’s prompting by talking with a pastor or leader at the indicated time... to commit your life to Christ through baptism (the water is always warm!), to place membership with the church, for prayer… one way or another, if God is stirring in your heart this morning, don’t leave without responding in some way.

CURRENT MESSAGE SERIES: “Alongside: The Urgency of Community.” - We are living in the hyper-digital age: flooded with more information than we can file, more news than we can process, more advertisements than we can absorb, and more cyber-engagements than we will ever keep track of. Yet, we're more disconnected and isolated than we’ve ever been. Neighbors barely know neighbors. Friendships are built with suspicion and anxiety, and battle lines are drawn over fleeting opinions and mild infractions. We search for value comparing our messy, overwhelmed lives to the digitally manicured versions of humanity we seen online. Jesus says there’s a better way, and the need is urgent. He knows we were created to experience life with others. He invites us into real community, built on honesty and authenticity, where we can know and be known, love and be loved. Join us for this four week series as we explore this kind of community together.
WOMEN'S RETREAT: Where Friends Gather - Mark your calendars and plan to join us on September 27 at the Ranch House in North Park for a day-long retreat—a meaningful opportunity to pause, connect, and reflect on the friendships that have shaped our lives. Questions? Contact Amanda Slovak. It costs $40, TODAY is the deadline to register here!
MEN'S RETREAT: Be sure to join us for this 24 hr retreat to slow down, reconnect, and invest in relationships with God and each other. Held at Elkhorn Valley Camp, 70 miles west in rural Ohio, and $100 covers lodging, all meals, programming and activities. Contact Ethan with questions. Register here today!
LIFE GROUP TRIVIA NITE KICKOFF: Join us 6-9pm on September 28th at Caliente Pizza on Babcock as we launch our fall Life Group season with some friendly group trivia competition over unlimited pizza and fountain drinks! A $10/person donation is suggested. Not in a life group? We’d love to get you plugged in, and this event is a great way to kickstart things! Fill out one of the Life Group cards in the pews and let’s get that conversation started! Drop the cards in the black box on the Resource Table. Contact the office with questions.
STUDENT NIGHTS: 9th-12th graders, come hang out Sunday nights from 6:30-8pm as we hear a message and meet in small groups to build community and talk about Jesus. 6th-8th meets Sunday mornings during our worship service. Questions? Contact Brandon.
WOMEN’S STUDY: Join us Wednesdays at 9:30am, in the church lobby, as we walk through the life of David. This study will be loosely based on Beth Moore's study, David: Seeking A Heart Like His. "Some days you'll want to be just like him; other days you won't want to be anything like him. Let's discover the truth that God will never give up on you." Contact Karen Landis for more info.
PICKLEBALL GROUP: Join us on select Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm at Blueberry Hill Park for some friendly pickleball. Open to teens and adults of all ability levels- we’d love to teach you if you don’t know how to play- paddles provided. Contact Amanda with questions.
BEFRIEND INITIATIVE : HONDURAS! We have a committed partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission and their work in Honduras. We rolled out all the details in a video that is pinned on our YouTube page, and we encourage everyone who calls NHCC their church to consider joining this effort. We will again be putting a team together to travel to Choloma this summer, the week of July 19-26, 2026. Mark your Connect Card if interested or visit the Missions page of our website for more info!
INFERTILITY SUPPORT GROUP: If you have been impacted by the pain and isolation of infertility and pregnancy-related loss & heartbreak, join in community & conversation with others who know how it feels. Dates & times are coordinated with those interested. Contact Debbie Harrington or indicate on your Connect Card.
DAYS FOR GIRLS: NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, an organization which seeks to break down stigmas and limitations by providing sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions & education to under-privileged girls and women worldwide. We meet Mondays 10am-12:30pm. See the Days for Girls table in the lobby for more info or contact Lisa Porter with questions on how to get involved.
