Job Descriptions from the bylaws:
ELDERS: for a term of three years, with approximately one-third being elected each year and following Biblical qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-3, Titus 1:6-9
DEACONS: for a term of two years, with approximately on-half being elected each year and following Biblical qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:8-13, Acts 6.
TRUSTEES: for a term of three years, the Trustees shall at as the legal agents of NHCC in all business matters under the direction of the Administrative Board and subject to the approval of the Congregation; shall handle all business transactions related thereto; shall have supervision over all endowments and trust funds and perform such duties as are prescribed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the Board of Directors of a nonprofit Corporation. The Trustees shall keep and be responsible for all important Church documents.
Selection process from the bylaws:
The Elders shall provide a proposed final, vetted selection of officers to the Congregation at least two weeks before the scheduled Annual Congregational meeting for prayerful consideration. All proposed officers who receive a majority of the votes cast by those members present and voting at the Annual Meeting of the Congregation shall be declared affirmed.
